Working As a Team Gets Career- and College-Ready Results

Did you know? In some schools, administrators, counselors and teachers work as a team to promote career and college readiness school-wide. Students in these schools are more likely to graduate from high school with a specific plan, better prepared for success in college.

We’ve picked 23 schools to win Career Guidance Award of Excellence for outstanding work in their college and career readiness programs. Most of the winners are in the College Readiness Initiative, a grant program funded by College Spark Washington.

State Superintendent Randy Dorn will present them with their awards at a ceremony on March 12, 2014, at 8 am, at ESD 121 in Renton.

Get involved! Contact your school’s counselor to find out about their career guidance program.
